Monday's Assignment

Good morning everyone,

Here are some of the vocabulary, expressions and idioms that were used in the last two days workshops.

First task for you is to fill in the following table and add any vocabulary/expressions/idioms if you have more to share:

Feeling fortunate	Feeling lucky			E	Her kids feel fortunate to grown up in Canada.

Call upon them	To ask someone to do something		I		She calls upon me to give her a drive to work tomorrow morning.
Build a rapport	Make a good relationship			E	It is very important to build a rapport with everybody in your neighborhood.
To have something under your belt	To have something security		I		I have my jewelry under my belt in the bank.
Spin doctor	To multi task		I		My teacher gives us a lot of spin doctors.
Go over and beyond for ...	Exceed expectation				He goes over and beyond for his job.
Chances are null	No chance				Our chances are null because we are so late for the exam.
Sell ice to Eskimo
